Not Just A Replacement Window
We do lots of replacement windows, but every now and then there is the need for a replacement window that is not a generic replacement window. The original window in this old house was damaged beyond repair.
This new window fit into the opening of the old window seamlessly blending with the trim. After it is painted it will be difficult to tell it apart from the other original windows. The exterior fits just as well since the original window's trim was retained
This new replacement window does incorporate the features of a modern window including improved latches, lifters and low e thermal panes. Replacement windows don't have to make an old house loose its character and charm by replacing wood with vinyl.

Privacy With Light In A Bathroom
This old house had a large bathroom window that at one point probably looked out into woods, but now it looks into the neighbors yard. The stained glass works great to provide privacy without giving up the light.
Custom Door Under The Stairs
The storage area under the stairs requires a door that is several inches shorter than normal. This standard door was cut down and reinforced to fit the opening saving much of the cost of a special order door.
New Basement Windows
New egress windows were added to basement bedroom windows. The stone over the lintel of the basement window was added to match the sill of the windows above them.
An egress window is required for a basement bedroom to allow the occupant an exit and they must also be large enough to allow a fire fighter in with their gear. This window system includes drainage and a cover to keep water and debris from falling in.
This egress window lets in much more light helping the room not feel so much like a basement room. The egress well used in this installation has tiers filled with gravel that can be used to create a garden window with potted plants.

New Basement Windows - 2 Block Hopper
Replacing old metal framed single pane hopper windows with new thermal pane windows not only cuts down on heat loss, but it also keeps out dirt and bugs.
For a little extra privacy and security, glass block windows are great. This window includes an operable vent and provides lots of light into a bathroom while maintaining privacy.

Custom Entry Door
This basement door is much shorter than a standard door and being in a concrete basement wall, the height of the opening cannot be changed. A custom sized steel door with magnetic seals was installed to eliminate drafts.
Entry Door
Old houses often have smaller entry doors. This house had a 32" back door which is the main door used by the family. The door opening was enlarged to allow a new 36" door to be installed. Much easier to get through with an arm load of groceries.
Interior Doors
A pre-finished interior door is hung and cased with pre-finished casings for a door that is finished and ready to go as soon as it is installed.
